Just found this image of me taken by Thomas Lee. I am photographing a bride at the Terraces in Mammoth in Yellowstone National Park in September this year. But first, here’s a photo of me juggling two cameras at the ceremony later that day.

When you photograph a lab, all you really need is water. They supply the enthusiasm and fun.

Last weekend I did a second session for a Bozeman High School senior who wanted his athletics as part of his senior photos. Also, he had just completed building the long jump pit at the high school for his Eagle Scout project.

I think this photo will be especially fun for him in 20 years when he can look back and remember how he could fly like a bird.

Walker at One

This morning Walker and his mom came to our Bozeman studio for his one year portraits. I was lucky enough to photograph Walker’s parents wedding as well as his uncle and aunt’s. Nicer people you may never meet.

Walker, you are very fortunate to have a great extended family and two amazing parents.

Happy Birthday, Walker!

Christina + Chris   September 5, 2009

venue………Chico Hot Springs, Montana

Flowers…….Bloom

After a summer of photographing in a new venue each week, I finally returned to Chico Hot Springs in Paradise Valley to photograph a wedding….with a twist. Geologists Christina and Chris requested their bride and groom session take place at the Terraces at Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park. So we paraded among the tourists on the boardwalks amid the tremendous colors and geological formations in Yellowstone.

Christina and Chris had a great time and I had fun just watching them love being in one of the most beautiful and rare places on earth.

We had a really fun and creative session with last night’s senior. In fact, all of our senior sessions have been fun. Each senior brings something different to each session. Best of all, they bring their own individual personality.

We’ve filled up all our September slots for seniors and there are only a few slots left for October.

OUR FRIEND BEN

W’ve know Ben since the week he was born and he’s always been so special to Stana and I. It was an honor to be able to shoot some unique senior images for him a couple of weeks ago at Hyalite Reservoir at sunset and then have a family picnic with Ben and his parents.

Ben’s got a cross country race today in Billings:  Good Luck Ben!!!

Kelly + Sam  August 29, 2009

Here is our latest wedding. This time from Ronan, Montana. The setting was the bride’s grandfather and grandmother’s home in Ronan under the Mission Mountains. Very impressive.

Once or twice a year I photograph one of our cousin’s weddings. There are a lot of cousins so that could last a while. I love photographing cousins’ weddings. They mean so much. This is our cousin Sam’s wedding to Kelly last weekend. It was a fantastic family get together and really helps me appreciate our other wedding clients weddings even more. I truely understand how special the day is for all our clients.

Thanks for marrying Sam, Kelly. We love having you in our family.
