Congratulations Class of 2013. Your junior year is almost done and soon you’ll be seniors; the top of the heap.

We have a few new things going on this year for senior portraits: this year you can decide exactly which type of session suits you best and go with an intensive urban or outdoor or studio session. If you want the works; we can take you to multiple locations for an extended amount of time and use more of your clothing.

This year we are adding video/photo fusion shows to our offerings. Here are two samples: Kelsey……….Diana

Based upon what you order after the session, you could purchase the fusion show for a greatly reduced rate or even get a free video to play on any device.

Favorite Cities in the World

We are headed to Italy in a couple of weeks to photograph a wedding. My list of favorite cities to visit and work in include: Paris, Butte and San Francisco. I’m hoping to add Florence next month. It’s not so much the setting in each city, though each is incredible: it’s the people you grow close to and leave behind that make you want to go back.

Bozeman Senior Photography

Yesterday I photographed Sierra, a senior from Salt Lake City, who made the trip to Bozeman for her senior session. I love photographing seniors each year and reflecting back to them in images how unique each is and how special they are. Sierra doesn’t take herself too seriously and she is smart and kind. She is great reflection of her parents.

We are working on our Senior Magazine for the Class of 2013 now. Look for it’s on-line publication sometime in April. After that we will be taking appointments for Summer Senior Sessions.

Don’t forget; we always only accept 50 Senior Sessions each season. You will want to call early to get on our calendar.

Missoula Wedding Album

We are busy busy here getting wedding albums to our clients. The album below was just mailed to a Pennsylvania couple who were married at the Children’s Theatre in Missoula. There’s a wealth of rich colors at the theatre and around Missoula in the summer. And our clients were open to trying anything and all things; what fun!

Family Reunion at Showdown

This past weekend we photographed a family reunion at Showdown Ski Area outside Great Falls, Montana. Showdown is a family owned business and many of the family had grown up skiing at Showdown and so it was the perfect place to have a reunion.

The weekend was very touching, not only because family was reconnecting, but also because a family member passed away the week before. It was not only a reunion but also a memorial on the ski hill for Dick Hall. I have photographed a few family memorial services and each is so very special. Clearly Dick was deeply loved by the family.

A tree and skis half way up the hill marks a family memorial where four of the family are remembered. Below are a few images from the weekend. This winter we will be putting a book together for the family.

Winter Wedding in Paradise

Yesterday I photographed a very fun couple’s wedding in Paradise Valley, Montana at Chico Hot Springs. The following images are just a few from their day. They were blessed with perfect winter weather and late afternoon light. They could not have been given better memories.

Family Memories

I took this image of Frank in 1995 on his back porch in Butte, Montana. He used to play the accordion at all the family bbq’s at a ranch in Elk Park a few miles away.Frank is gone now, he died not many years after this image was made. One of the first memories to go when a person passes on is the sound of their voice. And that is true, but some photos, like this one, bring back the voice for me. I can hear his soft chuckle and laugh in this photo, and I hope all our family can as well.

Torah Dedication

We were honored to photograph the dedication of two Torahs Sunday afternoon for Chabad Lubavitch of Montana at the Shul of Bozeman. The love, faith and joy of the celebration was moving. Just an amazing thing to witness. Below are photos from the afternoon.
