Ciara, class of 2017

A boy and his dog

Tate + Bojangles

At LP we firmly believe that dogs complete our families and that every boy needs his dog. We had a great shoot last night with the wonderful Nunberg family. It was a pleasure to spend our evening with such a fun, smart and devoted family.

Bozeman Montana Photographer

This week I gave a talk and class in photographing dogs at The Glass House Photo Group at f11 in Bozeman. After a slide show and discussion we took to the alley with three dogs. Watching the other photographers enjoy making images of the dogs with the same joy I have for it was really gratifying for me. Dogs continue to bring so much happiness to people who spend the time with them.

The weather is getting better and better in Montana for outdoor images. We are already scheduling pet sessions along with family, seniors, kids and weddings for the short Montana photo season of summer and fall. This year we have made an affordable pet session collection of digital images so pet owners can keep the images of their loved ones forever. Give the studio a call or email to get details. In the meantime take a look at our updated “pets and their people” gallery.

Bozeman Dog Calendar a Success

Filed under families, kids, pets and their people Tags: , , — • Written by Doug Loneman @ 10:01 am

hov checkpassing 2blila1Thanks to everyone who bought the Dogs of Bozeman Calendar and everyone who donated pets and time to make this project a great success. We were able to donate over $3400 to Heart of the Valley for scholarships to dog training classes. Dogs have a tremendously higher successful rate of adoption if their new owners attend these classes. We expect this will make Bozeman an even better dog town and make a lot of dogs very happy with their new owners!

The project would never have come together without the generosity Holly and Josh at Dee O Gee and the immense graphic talents of Maria at Visual Grease.  We are already working on the 2016 Dogs and Their People Calendar. Check our facebook throughout the year as we ask for more dog and owner volunteers.

Again….Thanks Everyone!!!

For the love of Dogs

One of the truly fun things for us to do is photograph the bond of love between people and their pets. The images alway touch our hearts.

We Moved

We moved this summer. You can now find us at the Farm Bureau Building on South 19 Avenue in Bozeman. Our old space was great and we loved it but for our clients’ convenience we are doing most of our photographing on location, though we still do studio photography as well. Our new space is more centrally located and is smaller. Best of all it has an atrium with lots of warm sunshine and plants….a huge plus for us during the winter.

Come by and see us sometime when you need a summer fix this fall and winter.

These girls below made themselves at home in our new hip modern-styled space recently.

New Address:

502 South 19th Ave. ; suite 103

Montana Portraits

Often families and wedding couples ask us to create a piece for large areas in their homes; art pieces that show off Montana’s big skies. An excellent idea, because it is hard to show the expansive vistas of Montana with just one photo. So we create panoramic portraits by stitching together several images. Let us know if you want one of these fantastic art pieces for your family when you call to schedule your session this summer and fall.

Preview Your Walls

Many of our clients love our service of showing them what their walls will look like before they choose an art work. It’s really pretty easy, take a photo of where you plan to hang your favorite image. Email or text us the wall photo along with your favorite image number. We’ll then send you an approximation of what your final art will look like.
